Transfer a tool to another person, warehouse, or tool collection in your company.
What you see​
Segment selector​
If you have warehouse subscriptions, you can switch between:
- My warehouses — filtered to warehouses you follow (default)
- Everyone — shows everyone
Search​
Filter all recipients by name.
Home location shortcut​
If the tool has a home warehouse and you are not that warehouse, a highlighted card appears at the top: "Belongs here". This is a quick way to return the tool to where it came from.
Recipient lists​
Three sections of clickable recipients:
- Tool Warehouses — all warehouse locations
- Tool Collections — grouped tool sets (excludes the tool's own collection)
- Users — individual people (only in "Everyone" mode)
The tool's current owner is excluded from all lists — you cannot give a tool to whoever already has it.
What happens when you select a recipient​
- The system fetches the recipient's contact details
- If giving to a warehouse, the tool's physical placement is automatically cleared
- The handover is logged with metadata (notes, time held, etc.)
- You are returned to the tool detail page
