Value

The Value module lets you track the monetary value of your tools and equipment, including purchase prices and rental rates.

What it does​

Track tool prices and rental values​

When Value is enabled, three new fields appear in the tool editor:

  • Value per unit — the purchase price or current value of the tool
  • Rental value — the rental/lease rate for the tool
  • Rental period — the time unit for the rental rate (e.g., day, week, month)

View values on tool details (admin only)​

Company administrators can see price information on the extended tool detail page:

For individual tools:

  • Price per unit
  • Rental value

For stock tools (consumable/pool):

  • Price per unit and calculated total value (unit price x current stock quantity)
  • Rental value and calculated total rental value (rental rate x current stock quantity)

This makes it easy to see the total value of bulk items at a glance.

Company-wide value statistics​

When enabled, the Company Info statistics modal in Company Settings shows aggregate values:

  • Total warehouse values
  • Total rental values
  • Breakdowns per warehouse

Where you see it in the app​

  • Company Settings → Optional Modules → Value toggle
  • Tool editor → Value per unit, Rental value, and Rental period fields
  • Extended tool details → Price and rental display (admin only)
  • Company Info modal → Aggregate value statistics

Who can see values​

Price and rental information is only visible to company administrators. Regular users and read-only users do not see financial data on tool pages.

How to activate​

Go to Company Settings and scroll down to Optional Modules. Toggle on Value, then save. The price and rental fields will appear in the tool editor, and value information will show on tool detail pages for administrators.

Pricing​

The price is shown next to the toggle in Company Settings. It is free on the Free plan.
