Tells a warehouse's contact whenever tools or stock move in or out.

How to enable​

On the warehouse's Edit Warehouse page, under Notification preferences, turn on Notify on takes and/or Notify on gives independently. The recipient is the warehouse's own tool contact email, or the company's tool contact email if Same as Company is checked — set under Contact person for tools on the same page. No module is required.

Purpose​

Lets whoever manages a warehouse track consumption and restocking without watching the warehouse in the app.

Who receives it, and when​

  • Notify on takes — sent when an individual tool leaves the warehouse, or when consumable/pooled stock is taken out.
  • Notify on gives — sent when a tool arrives at the warehouse, or when consumable/pooled stock is restocked.

Notification content​

Identifies the tool or stock item and the quantity involved. "Notify on takes" emails also include price information where a rental price is set: an exact cost (quantity × rental price) for consumable stock, and a per-period cost estimate for individual tools and pooled stock (the total isn't known yet since the rental duration isn't over). "Notify on gives" emails never include price info.
